Launched by Maharashtra’s Agriculture Department during the Kharif season of 2018–19, the Bhausaheb Fundkar Horticulture Plantation Scheme supports farmers in establishing orchards of 16 perennial crops—such as mango, cashew, guava, sapota, pomegranate, coconut, and more.

👥 Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a bona fide farmer and permanent resident of Maharashtra.
  • Own or lease land:
    • Konkan division: 0.10–10.00 ha
    • Other divisions: 0.20–6.00 ha.
  • Hold Aadhaar, 7/12 extract, 8‑A certificate.
  • Institutional beneficiaries not eligible; priority to small, marginal, women, elderly, and disabled farmers; MGNREGA participants must use that scheme first.

  • Subsidy structure via Direct Benefit Transfer:
    • Year 1: 50%
    • Year 2: 30%
    • Year 3: 20% (nabard.org).
  • 100% grant for drip irrigation systems for orchards .
  • Coverage includes pit digging, planting, fertilizer use, crop protection, and gap filling.
  • Subsidy directly credited to Aadhaar-linked bank accounts annually.

  4. Navigate to “Farmer Scheme” → “Bhausaheb Fundkar Falbag Lagwad Yojana”.
  5. Submit application details & upload documents.
  6. Upon approval, subsidy will be disbursed via DBT.
